Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 says “there’s a time and place for everything under the heavens”. Wow! Let us take a moment and soak that in … I mean think about how wonderful and beautifully awesome that is.
Now take a moment, sit back and reflect on what that means to you. What that means to, to your life, to your friendships, to your relationships, to your marriage… “a time and place for everything” ….
I know we’ve all heard this scripture so much so that it has almost become cliché, however, when you think about it … It is almost like magic, or the greatest mystery of all time…
For me it provides me with hope and clarity. It brings my entire existence into perspective. It reminds me that, I don’t just have to survive, I can live.
And I’m not eactly sure what that small gem of wisdom means to you but for me, it lets me know everything has a purpose, every person and every living thing is given a chance, an opportunity, a moment in time to fulfill the God given reason for being here on this earth at this moment in history or for some herstory.
It reminds me, nothing happens by accident. I believe everything happens by godcident. meaning is and has been pre-planned or preordained by God to happen.
There are two ways preordination can occur
One way, is when we make our own decisions and try to “do life” without God. This may most likely cause us to deviates from the path that God has laid out for us. We go through dark times; may your marriage is just not right or your children or acting crazy or you yourself feel out of sorts. So we fill our life with material things to fill our time. These things help us escape from the harsh realities of life. However, there is always this nagging feeling, this feeling of emptiness.
If this is you I have come to tell you that, it is okay. God has never left you and that because you are still alive, reading this post I suppose and because of what is written in Ecclesiasts chapter 3, you still have time to fulfill your purpose. Isn’t that great to know?
So, what you married the wrong man or woman?
So, what your mother or father abandoned you?
So, what you been on drugs or have not been the best person.
You still have the same purpose, you had since before you were formed in your mother’s womb, and God is more than willing to assist you on getting back on the right path.
Well, Kelly is it that simple?
Yes, and No. Simple in the sense that God give second chances without strings, or attachments, no in that fulfilling your purpose does not mean you will have a perfect, pain free life. It will mean giving up some things, some people. It will mean understanding that you will have to not only read but live out Ecclesiastes chapter 3 and really understand that the sun will have to set on old habits, some friends.
What we’re destined to do or what we’re destined to be is what we will be as long as we try to 100% listen to God.
There are no shortcuts to fulfilling your purpose, and like I say about marriage it won’t be easy but it’s worth it. The same applies for your life.
Take the path that he has chosen for us in every aspect of our life and it doesn’t mean that there won’t be snares and thorns and trials and tribulations it just means that we have been wise enough to trust God in every area in every aspect and to believe that when we can’t see the second set of footprints in the sand that we know that that’s not our feet but that’s God carrying us to our next point of interest.
I think our biggest issue has soul beings in a human body is a lot of times people that come in and out of our life they may come at the right time but sometimes they’re not in the right place and sometimes they’re at the right place but not at the right time.
What do you think? Do you believe there is a time and place for everything under the heaven’s? Are you on the road to fulfilling your purpose?
Until next time,
All in Love,
